DOP (Dioctyl Phthalate)
Basic PropertiesDOP is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid with a characteristic odor. Its melting point is -25°C, and the boiling point is 386°C. DOP is insoluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. It has excellent plasticizing effects and is widely used in the processing of PVC materials.

Main Applications
1. As a Plasticizer for PVC: DOP enhances the flexibility, abrasion resistance, and aging resistance of PVC materials, making them more suitable for manufacturing various soft plastic products such as cables, wires, flooring, artificial leather, and hoses.
2. For PVC Wire and Cable Sheathing: DOP improves the flexibility, heat resistance, electrical performance, and aging resistance of wire and cable sheaths.
3. For Manufacturing Plastic Films: As a plasticizer, DOP improves the transparency, flexibility, and aging resistance of plastic films, widely used in food packaging, agricultural films, and more.
4. For Manufacturing Plastic Pipes and Profiles: DOP enhances the processing performance of plastic pipes and profiles, improving their weather resistance and strength, widely used in the construction, home, and plumbing industries.
5. Other Applications: DOP is also used in the production of artificial leather, flooring materials, rubber, coatings, and other soft plastic products.
Precautions
· Storage and Precautions: DOP is not classified as a hazardous chemical but should be stored separately from oxidizing agents and acids. Avoid mixing with other chemicals. During use, follow proper safety procedures to ensure the safety and health of operators.
