DOA (Dioctyl Adipate)

Basic PropertiesDOA is a colorless, odorless, transparent oily liquid with a melting point of -67.8°C and a boiling point of 210°C (760 mmHg). It has excellent plasticizing effects and low volatility, which imparts excellent low-temperature flexibility, light resistance, and water resistance to plastic products.

Main Applications

1. Plasticizer: DOA has high plasticizing efficiency, with minimal color change when heated. It provides products with excellent low-temperature flexibility, light resistance, and certain water resistance.

2. Processing Lubricant: During processing, DOA imparts good lubrication and surface smoothness, improving the tactile feel of the product.

3. Application Fields: DOA is often used in combination with phthalate esters and is widely used in cold-resistant agricultural films, cable coatings, artificial leather, sheets, outdoor water pipes, and frozen food packaging films.

Precautions

· Regulatory Restrictions: DOA may have regulatory restrictions in certain applications, particularly in low-temperature environments. Ensure that its usage concentration does not exceed the specified limits.

· Safety and Protection: Protective equipment should be worn during handling to avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after use.

· Storage Conditions: DOA should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from fire sources and high temperatures.
